Travel Grants and Student Volunteer Programme

The application for travel grants and student volunteer programme has been closed.

Travel grants

To qualify for the student travel grants, applicants must be student authors of accepted full papers in either ACL-IJCNLP 2009 Student Research Workshop or Main Conference. The applications must also agree to participate in the Student Volunteer Programme of ACL-IJCNLP 2009.

Please note that the student travel grants are to subsidize student authors’ participation in ACL, and won’t be able to cover all the travel expenses. Students should make travel arrangements independent of the results of travel grant applications, which will be announced on 20 June 2009.

Student Volunteer Programme

ACL-IJCNLP 2009 is looking for a limited number of student volunteers. In exchange for one full day's work, student volunteers receive free registration to the main conference. The work will be divided, probably into two half-day shifts, and the shifts will be scheduled to maximize volunteer access to the conference events. We may be able to provide other amenities, and will certainly try to provide a good work environment.

Tasks will include assisting at the registration desk, stuffing delegate packs, and providing technical assistance for conference events including tutorials, main conference and workshops.
