Instructions for presenters

Guidelines for oral presentations

Presentation time is 25 minutes for long papers and 20 minutes for short papers, including introductions, questions and switching between presentations. Please plan for your actual presentation to last about 20 minutes if you have a long paper and 15 minutes if you have a short paper. It is important that the sessions remain on time. You are expected to bring your own laptop and set it up during the break immediately preceding your session; technical staff will be on hand to assist you. Your session chair will then switch the display to your laptop for your presentation. Please remember to bring your own AC adapter (with US plug). If your laptop is not compatible with a VGA cable, please also bring the required VGA adapter. You should arrive to your session room 15 minutes before the session starts to meet with your session chair.

Guidelines for poster presentations

Posterboards are 3 feet (90cm) high, 4 feet (120cm) wide self-standing boards that will be placed on top of conference tables. Materials for attaching posters to the boards (push-pins, double-sided tape, etc.) will be provided. A chair will be provided at each position. Please affix your poster to your assigned posterboard any time between the afternoon coffee break and the end of the conference sessions preceding the poster session.
