Brief Introductions of Attractions in this program

Located in the southwest of the Drum Tower in beautiful surroundings, Shicha Lake is over 700 years old from Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368). Its present name became popular in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Strolling along its shoreline, visitors may take the chance to appreciate the lake’s glimmering blue water, graceful weeping willows, twisting balustrades and the central island with dense growth of flowers and foliages. Gorgeous willow trees offer nice shade and breeze in the hot summer afternoon while traditional style boat cruises in summer nights plus sceneries alone the banks will leave you an unforgettable memory.

Shichahai Scenic Zone, range from the Second Ring Road in the north to Ping’an Avenue in the south and from Di’anmenwai Street in the east to Xingjiekou Street in the west, is a paradise for tourists. It encompasses 146.7 hectares (362.5 acres). The Zone is the only area in the city center with vast open waters, comprised by Xihai (West Lake), Houhaai (back or Rear Lake) and Qianhai (Front Lake ) lakes. More than 40 units under national protection of historical relics are located there.
