Getting to Boulder
Denver International Airport
The closest international airport to Boulder is Denver International Airport (referred to as DIA, but the airport code is DEN). DIA is a hub for United Airlines and Frontier but fares can be found with most major airlines.
DIA to Boulder
By Car
It is a 50-60 minute drive from DIA to Boulder. Google maps suggest taking the E-470 toll road, but that is unnecessary if you are not arriving during the typical rush hour commute times. CU's directions to Boulder gives a good set of routes.
For those staying on-campus:
Take US-36 to Boulder, make a left onto Colorado Ave. Follow Colorado Ave onto campus until a small roundabout is reached. Go around the roundabout to make a left onto Libby Dr. Libby Hall is the dorm directly in front of you
By Bus
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) offers skyRide service between DIA and the surrounding areas. The AB route runs from DIA to Boulder. Fare costs $12 (cash only) and terminates at the Boulder Transit Center in downtown Boulder. Tipping the driver is optional, but appreciated, especially if he/she is handling your luggage. For people staying in campus housing, the bus stops at the west edge of campus at the Broadway and Euclid stop. From there it is a short walk to Libby Hall (map below)

By Shuttle

Getting Around Boulder
By Bus
Boulder is easy to navigate by bus. The University of Colorado Computer Science department has a good listing of the buses with links to their maps in their Getting Around section.
The Google maps transit tool is a useful tool for planning around bus schedules.. The RTD Website has more specific route information, and als has a Boulder area bus system map. For quick reference, the easiest routes to catch between campus and downtown are the Hop and Skip.
By Taxi
You can get almost anywhere in town with Boulder Yellow Cab (303-777-7777) for a few bucks. You must call to get a cab. You cannot hail one on the street.
By Bike
WIth nearly 300 city miles dedicated to bikeways, Boulder is a bicyclist's haven. At times it can be faster to bike than drive to your destination. Several bike shops in the area have rentals. For maps and more bicycling information visit the City of Boulder's Bike Information Page
