Police Station
The closest police station can be found in Láskova 1815/14 (#10 on the local map).
Pharmacy
An easy to reach pharmacy (in Czech: lékárna) can be found in Shopping Center Chodov, accessible just from metro station Chodov (#11 on the local map). It is visible from bus stops outside the metro station. Another pharmacy is located in Bělčická 2922/24 (closest to TOP Hotel), yet another in Nechvílova 1820/34 (closest to students dormitory Chodov, #12 on the local map).
Medical Center
Hospital and Medical Center "Canadian Medical Care" (open on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) can be found in V Parku 2308/8 (#13 on the local map).

Post Office
A Czech post office (in Czech: Česká pošta) can be found in Hráského 2231/25 (close to metro station Chodov (route C), #14 on the local map). The Prague main post office is located in Jindřišská 909/14 (metro station Můstek (route A)).
Banks
Normal banking hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended banking facilities are available at the airport and at the main railway stations. There are automatic cash dispensers (in Czech: bankomat), usually located near a bank branch, which accept a variety of international credit cards; the cards accepted are indicated on the dispenser. The current rate of exchange is approx. 21 Kč (Czech crowns) for $1 and 27 Kč for 1 EUR.
Several banks and cash dispensers can be found in Shopping Center Chodov. One cash dispenser is located in the lobby of metro station Chodov. Money can also be changed at TOP Hotel reception but there is no cash dispenser in the hotel.
Shops
Shops are usually open from 9 a.m./9:30 a.m./10 a.m. through 6 p.m./7 p.m. Monday to Friday, many of them also on Saturdays until 12 p.m./1 p.m.. A few department stores are open on Saturdays and some supermarkets also on Sundays.
Shopping Center Chodov
Easily accessible directly from metro station Chodov, there is a new and big Shopping Center Chodov (#8 on the local map) with many shops and services. It is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m./9 a.m. to 9 p.m./10 p.m..
Electricity
Electricity is supplied at 230 volts A/C, 50 Hz cycle. For the type of plugs and receptacles, please see the pictures here or here.
Smoking
Please note that by a new law smoking is forbidden in public places such as bus/tram stops.

From the airport to the city center
- There is a shuttle service run by the company CEDAZ that operates from the airport to the center of the city. The ride takes approx. 30 minutes and costs 90 Kč per person and one piece of luggage (20 minutes and 60 Kč to metro station Dejvická (route A)). The company also provides transportation from the airport to any place in Prague (hotels); price is contractual but in comparison with taxi, it is very cheap.
- A public bus line number 119 goes frequently from the Prague airport to the terminal stop of metro route A Dejvická, which takes you to the center of the city; tickets can be bought at the airport (20 Kč). For other public transport options from the airport, see this map.
- A taxi from the airport to the city center is approx. 540 Kč (20 EUR).

From the city center to the TOP Hotel (conference venue)
Take metro route C to the station Chodov (#3 on the local map), change to bus 115 (metro exit: follow the sign "Zahradní město", then signs "Městs. archiv" and "TOP Hotel", #4 on the local map), go three stops to the stop Městský archiv (#7 on the local map). The bus stops just in front of the hotel. Note that bus 115 has a circular route and its way back from the hotel differs from its way there and has four stops.

From the airport to the TOP Hotel (conference venue)
Probably the simplest way (apart from taking a taxi) is to go by public bus number 119 from the Prague airport to the terminal stop of metro route A Dejvická. Take the metro to station Muzeum, change to route C and go to metro station Chodov (#3 on the local map). Change to bus 115 (metro exit: follow the sign "Zahradní město", then signs "Městs. archiv" and "TOP Hotel", #4 on the local map), go three stops to the stop Městský archiv (#7 on the local map). The bus stops just in front of the hotel. A standard single ticket for this journey costs 20 Kč and can be purchased at the airport in the arrivals hall at the Information Center of Prague Integrated Transport (daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.). Ask the attendants about a necessity to buy an extra ticket for a bigger luggage.

From the city center to the accommodation in student dormitories of the University of Economics, building Volha
Take metro route C to the station Chodov (#3 on the local map), change to bus 122 or 177 (metro exit: follow the sign "Zahradní město", then signs "Městs. archiv" and "TOP Hotel", #5 on the local map), go three stops to the stop Volha. The way back is just the opposite.

From the airport to the accommodation in student dormitories of the University of Economics, building Volha
Go by public bus number 119 from the Prague airport to the terminal stop of metro route A Dejvická. Take the metro to station Muzeum, change to route C and go to metro station Chodov (#3 on the local map). Change to bus 122 or 177 (metro exit: follow the sign "Zahradní město", then signs "Městs. archiv" and "TOP Hotel", #5 on the local map), go three stops to the stop Volha (#6 on the local map). 5. května road – exit from the E50 road direction to Chodov, Spořilov (500 m past the ÖMV gas station) – right on the first traffic light intersection (by OBI) – go under the freeway – straight ahead on the second traffic light intersection and left on the third traffic light intersection – after about 80 meters turn slightly right into the Klapálkova Street – turn right on the first road – and the hotel area is on the left side up the hill. Brněnská Street D1 – Exit 1 to Spořilov – exit to Türkova Street – straight ahead on the traffic light intersection – after about 80 meters turn slightly right into the Klapálkova Street – turn right on the first road – and the hotel area is on the left side up the hill. Walking from metro station Chodov to the TOP Hotel
A quiet and safe (far from heavy traffic) way to the TOP Hotel starts at bus stop 115 at the exit from metro station Chodov (#4 on the local map). Cross a small bridge over the highway and go on straight along "K dubu" street (after a while, it turns right and immediately left), then go through an underpass, turn left into Ledvinova street (after a while, it turns right slightly), at the end of the street go on straight on a footpath along a kindergarten. Behind the kindergarten turn left and after 10 metres right again. Go through another underpass, turn left, follow the main street. After 100 metres turn right into Klíčova street. After another 400 metres you arrive at the TOP Hotel (#1 on the local map). The whole way from the metro station should take about 20 minutes.

Metro, City-Buses and Trams
The price of a single ticket depends on the distance: 14 Kč for up to five stations and 30 minutes in metro (change allowed), 20 minutes in buses/trams without change; 20 Kč for one transport with changes up to 75 minutes. Single tickets and a travel pass for 24 hours (80 Kč) can be bought from ticket machines inside all metro stations and some bus and tram stops. Travel passes for 3 days/72 hours (220 Kč), 7 days/168 hours (280 Kč), or 15 days/360 hours (320 Kč) are available from DP outlets at bigger stations (or at the Information center at the airport, too). The tickets/passes can be used in metro, trams and city buses. Metro operates daily from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m.. Further details here.

From students dormitories Volha to Conference venue TOP Hotel (and back)
