Accommodation

We have secured accommodation for participants at advantageous rates in four centrally located hotels in Berlin: Maritim proArte (4*), NH Hotels (4*), The Westin Grand Berlin (5*), and Tryp Berlin Mitte (4*). The first 3 hotels are located less than 5 minutes walking from the conference venue while Tryp Berlin is 2 subway stations away (20 minutes walking). All four hotels are very well connected to the public transportation system as well as easily accessible from Berlin's airports.

Note that there is a different booking deadline for each hotel, after which the rooms cannot be booked at the special discount rate negotiated for the conference participants. The hotel rooms will be assigned on a "first come, first serve" basis. You are advised to book hotel rooms early.

Maritim proArte Hotel (****)

Note that the poster and demo sessions at ACL 2016 will take place in the exhibition rooms of the hotel!

NH Hotels (****)

The hotel has a prime location on the world-famous Friedrichstrasse, close to Berlin's best-known sights and shopping areas. From here it's just a short walk to the Brandenburg Gate and the Unter den Linden, Berlin's historic tree-lined boulevard. The hotel has 268 guest rooms and suites, which offer state-of-the-art facilities, such as 46" flatscreen TVs. All rooms have marble bathrooms.

From Tegel Airport: Take the TXL bus and get off at Hauptbahnhof (Berlin's main train station). Then change to tram M8 or M10 for two stops and get off at U Naturkundemuseum
From Schönefeld Airport: Go to Friedrichstrasse either via a direct train (RE7 or RB24) or via S-Bahn (take S9 to Ostkreuz and change there to S5, S7, or S75 to Friedrichstrasse). From there, take subway line U6 (direction Alt-Tegel) for 2 stops and get off at U Naturkundemuseum.
