Boston is a wonderful city for visitors. The downtown has historic
buildings and locations, cultural institutions, distinctive
neighborhoods and green spaces, most accessible by foot from the
conference venue and others by subway. Some highlights that might be
attractive to HLT/NAACL attendees are the Freedom Trail, the Museum of
Fine Arts, the Harvard Museums, the North End, Chinatown, Faneuil
Hall, the Arnold Arboretum, the New England Aquarium, the JFK Museum
and Library, and whale watching tours. Logan International Airport is
served by direct flights from all major and some minor US and
international cities. The airport is only about 15 minutes by taxi
from the Park Plaza, and also reachable by shuttle and subway. Boston
is also served by Amtrak Northeast Corridor trains.
